Azure resource locks prevent accidental deletion or modification of resources. You can activate Read-only or Delete locks.

Activating resource lock is simple:

  • Go to the resource
  • Go to Settings -> Locks
  • Click on + Add, enter Lock name and select Lock type
  • Click Ok

You can implement resource locks at resource group level and subscription level. To delete a lock, go to the resource or resource group, go to Settings -> click on Locks select and delete the lock you need to remove.
